West was fifth amonst 27 players in the 13-15 age group while Mello tied for fifth in a field of 40 in the 16-19s during two round of play. West had rounds of 77 and 80 for a 157 total which left him 13 strokes behind winner Seiji Hirai.

Another Bermudian, Jarryd Dillas, also competed in the 13-15 boys, finishing 15th after rounds of 78 and 86. Mello was just five shots behind the winner in his division after shooting rounds of 75 and 79 for a 154 score which tied him for fifth with two others.
