Bahamas government in $100m resort deal

An ambitious deal signed by the Bahamas Government will result in a $100 million Four Seasons resort on the island of Eleuthera, although a date for starting construction has yet to be announced.

The agreement was sealed with Cotton Bay Holdings and Mine Holdings Ltd for a development including 115 hotel rooms, 40 residences, a Robert Trent Jones golf course, retail and a spa.

It will also require an upgrade at the South Eleuthera airport. It is reported that 200 jobs could be created by building the resort, and 300 permanent posts created by the finished hotel.
