A Bermuda Select squad will compete in the Bournemouth Rugby 7s Festival this weekend.

Dan Cole, the Bermuda full back, will lead a team that includes a number of players who are based in the UK for a tournament that draws some of the best Sevens teams in Europe.

Bermuda, who have been sponsored by James and Jonathan Tomalin Reeves of Seren Polska, were invited to play in the festival by kit manufacturers Viper10.

n As part of Harlequins Rugby Club’s visit to the Island next month coaches from the club will be holding a seminar for local coaches entitled “Improve the individual, improve the team”.

The free event will focus on the balance between the needs of individual athlete with those of the team, while allowing individual expression within a team framework.

Harlequins coaches Colin Osborne and Howard Graham will give advice on nurturing and developing talent in a high performance environment, while England and Harlequins duo Nick Easter and Ugo Monye will bring a players’ perspective to the seminar.
