Stamps go up for auction
this September.
The first, at Sotheby's in London, features a collection of 171 Bermuda stamps, dated 1865 to 1949, at an estimated price of 1,200 to 1,500 pounds sterling.
Information released by Sotheby's states that the stamps are "mostly well above average'' in quality.

A postal auction including Bermuda books, documents and maps takes place on September 29. Pennymead Auctions will offer 28 Bermuda documents, maps, and books dating from 1624 to 1973, and ranging in estimated price from 3-600.
