Beyond Fitness to close
Popular exercise centre Beyond Fitness has announced its closure after 12 years in business.
It will officially cease operation on November 30.
In a letter sent to members and clients, co-owners Abby Kermode and Christine Dailey said the decision was not made lightly.
“Over the years, Beyond Fitness has grown into far more than a gym — it has become a community built on dedication, encouragement, friendships and shared goals,” Beyond Fitness said. “We are deeply grateful for the trust, loyalty and support you have given us throughout this journey.”
The co-owners want to focus on other projects and personal life goals.
“While this marks the end of an important chapter for us, we are incredibly proud of everything we have built together over the past 12 years,” the letter read.
The owners thanked every member, trainer, staff member and supporter who had walked through their doors on Par-la-Ville Road in Hamilton, over the years.
“Your commitment and energy made this place special, every single day,” they said.
Beyond Fitness will no longer sell annual memberships, only class passes, monthly unlimited and drop-ins.
All monthly auto-renewing memberships will also stop this month.
“You can do a one month unlimited, class pass or drop-in to attend classes moving forward,” Beyond Fitness said. “All personal training packages should be used up by the end of November.”
People with unused sessions can receive a refund. However, personal training packages older than six months will be considered expired and ineligible for refund.
“You can also purchase six-packs or drop-in physical training sessions moving forward,” staff said.
