Postal rates increase

The cost of mailing a local letter increases from 20 cents to 25 cents, airmail to the United States and Canada will go from 55 cents to 60 cents, from 70 cents to 75 cents for the United Kingdom and Europe, and from 80 cents to 85 cents in countries in Zone 3, which include the Far East, Australia and Africa. Air letters also go up from 50 cents to 55 cents.

International Data Express, for the first 500 grammes, will increase from $18 to $20 for the United States and Canada, from $24 to $26 to the United Kingdom and from $32 to $35 for the rest of the world.

The cost to Europe remains the same at $26.
