Work permit policies for 2015 will come into effect on Sunday, Home Affairs Minister Michael Fahy said today.

The public have been advised that the policies have been slightly amended to account for the internal administrative processes at the Department of Immigration and the policy on partners of Bermudians, permanent residence certificate holders and work permit holders. All persons are encouraged to go to the immigration department’s website at www.immigration.gov.bm to view the guidelines.

Other initiatives include a new business visitors line at the LF Wade International Airport and new work permit cards. With respect to the work permit cards, cards will be issued only to standard, global, new business and periodic work permit holders, and sponsored dependants, but not to short-term permit holders.

The work permit policies and all application forms and fees will be uploaded on the website by Sunday.
