Bermuda Industrial Union President Derrick Burgess expressed hope last night that talks will resolve a dispute that has prompted a work-to-rule at Hamilton Docks.

The dockers have been refusing to work overtime since Sunday evening due to what Mr. Burgess described as a ?serious breach? of communication between Stevedoring Services managers and the workforce.

Mr. Burgess said a meeting scheduled for today could resolve the dispute.

Candy Foggo, Operations Manager at Stevedoring Services, said she had not received formal notification but understood the dispute was to do with promotions and training issues.
