The Bermuda Weather Service has issued gale warning and thunderstorm advisory for this evening in advance of an incoming low pressure system.

While the gale warning is in effect both tonight and tomorrow night, the thunderstorm advisory is expected to remain in effect until tomorrow morning. A small craft warning has also been issued.

As of 4.30pm today, the service’s public forecast stated: “Winds will briefly increase to gale force tonight as a low pressure system moves through the area. Shower activity [will] also increase, with isolated thunderstorms tonight into tomorrow morning.

“Winds [will] decrease to strong late tonight and then increase back to gale force Wednesday night.”
