Thomas Forsyth has been appointed as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of OneBeacon Insurance Group, a subsidiary of White Mountains Insurance Group Limited.

Mr. Forsyth will report to OneBeacon CEO Mike Miller and will oversee all corporate legal and government affairs for the company.

He replaces Roger Singer who recently retired after 16 years of distinguished service. Mr. Singer will provide continuing legal support to OneBeacon in a consulting role.

?Tom is a well respected attorney with substantial property-casualty and reinsurance experience that eminently qualifies him for this key role at OneBeacon,? Mr. Miller said.

Mr. Forsyth brings 25 years of legal experience, including senior roles at Travelers and most recently Swiss Reinsurance Group.

He earned his J.D. at the University of Southern California and is a member of various professional associations, including several where he serves in leadership capacities.

Currently, he is president of the ADIA Reinsurance and Insurance Arbitration Society (ARIAS - U.S.), having served on its Board of Directors since 2002, and recently co-chaired the American Bar Association?s Reinsurance Subcommittee of Insurance Coverage Litigation.

Research.bm moves to new office

Research.bm has moved to a new, larger location at Sterling House, 16 Wesley Street, Hamilton. Since the opening its doors for business less than three years ago, Research.bm has established itself as a leader in qualitative and quantitative market research.
