The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index was unchanged at 4,450.97 yesterday as no stocks traded.

In the meantime, the Bermuda Insurance Index surged 9.81 or 0.94 percent to close at 1,049.41 as almost all Bermuda-based insurance and reinsurance companies traded on overseas exchanges gained ground.
