BSX falls as BAS slides

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index slid 0.3 per cent last week, after shares of both Butterfield Bank and Bermuda Aviation Services Ltd fell.

Butterfield fell one cent, or 0.5 per cent, to close on $1.99, as more than 384,000 of its shares traded over the five days.

BAS tumbled 47 cents, or 15.7 per cent, to close the week on $2.53, on the trading of 5,000 shares.

Argus Group Holdings Ltd was the lone company to climb during the week. Its shares gained 15 cents, or 4.3 per cent, to close on $3.65, as 30,000 shares changed hands.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index fell 4.05 points to close on 1,363.73. Trading volume for the week totalled nearly 430,000 shares, while turnover topped $955,000.
