Hampton Re Holdings Limited has announced the retirement of CEO Bill Walker.

Mr. Walker has served as Hampton Re's CEO since January 2001 and was instrumental in the company's start up.

He will continue to serve as a marketing consultant to the company.

Hank Sulikowski, who has served as Chief Operating Officer since Hampton Re's formation, will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Sulikowski has more than 20 years of experience in the life reinsurance business.

The company's operating subsidiary, Hampton Re Limited, is a Bermuda-based life reinsurer, which offers customised reinsurance solutions to life and annuity insurers and reinsurers.

ACE Limited has appointed Ken Koreyva as treasurer with specific responsibility for overseeing communications with rating agencies, investors and analysts.

And the company has also appointed former insurance analyst Sabra Purtill as vice president of corporate finance with a direct focus on competitor analysis, specifically on performance reporting and disclosure.

Mr. Koreyva will report directly to Philip Bancroft, Chief Financial Officer of ACE Limited.

"We are very pleased to have professionals of Ken's and Sabra's calibre on board.

"Their experience and perspective will be an extremely valuable addition to ACE," said Mr. Bancroft.

Mr. Koreyva joins ACE after a secondment with PHICO Insurance Company where he was retained by the Pennsylvania Insurance Commissioner to oversee operations of PHICO during its rehabilitation and liquidation phases.

Prior to PHICO, Mr. Koreyva spent ten years at MIIX Group, a provider of medical liability insurance and risk management services.

During his tenure at MIIX Group, he held increasingly senior positions before being promoted to executive vice president and chief financial officer in 1996, and subsequently president and chief executive officer in 1999.

Mr. Koreyva was formally an insurance industry partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Ms Purtill was an insurance analyst and investment banker for 15 years at firms including Chase Manhattan, Merrill Lynch, Conning & Co. and, most recently, ABN Amro.

During the course of her career, Ms. Purtill has covered all sectors of the insurance industry.
