Three of the girls whose apartment was devastated during a fire in February will be among the delegates at Atlantic Union College's 113th Commencement on Sunday.
Kendra Lee Pearman, who is president of the senior class, Lynnice Nisbett and Michelle Wainwright will all receive their degrees from Humberto Rasi, director of education of the General Conference of Seventh-Day Adventists.
Island residents donated goods and cash to assist the students, some of whom lost their belongings and study material in the blaze.
Faith Beall, assistant director of advancement, said the three girls had all persevered with their studies despite the trauma.
