A visitor who was involved in a two-vehicle crash in Southampton yesterday has died, making her the island’s thirteenth road fatality this year, police said this afternoon.

The Bermuda Police Service said that the 63-year-old American woman was riding a rental scooter west along Middle Road in Southampton near the junction with Industrial Park Road when she collided with a car travelling in the opposite direction.

The woman was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance where she was later pronounced dead by an on call doctor.
