accident on Sunday night was yesterday listed in satisfactory condition on a general ward, a hospital official said.

Mr. James Skinner suffered serious leg injuries in the accident which killed 43-year-old Giant Foods owner Mr. George Whitecross, the Island's fifth road fatality this year.

Mr. Whitecross died after his motorcycle was in collision with Mr. Skinner on Verdmont Road in Smith's Parish around 7 p.m.

It is understood from a witness that the accident occurred as one of the two motorcycle riders attempted to overtake a car near Cabana Apartments.

A Police spokesman said yesterday the cause of the accident was still under investigation.

Investigating officer P.c. James Outerbridge appealed for any witnesses to contact him at Police headquarters.
