admitting two charges of possessing cannabis.

Prosecutor Sgt. Rex Osborne told the court that on July 16 Police arrested Shejuan A. White of Khyber Pass on another matter.

"While at the station, Police searched White and found a brown paper twist containing .52 grams of cannabis in his pants pocket,'' said Sgt. Osborne.

When Police asked him about it, White said: "I'm not going to stop because I got caught.'' On September 18 White was also stopped at the Airport where he was searched.

"Customs officers found a clear plastic bag containing 8.5 grams of cannabis in the lining of his track suit pants,'' Sgt. Osborne said.

Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis fined White $100 on the first charge and $800 on the second.

White was also charged with possessing cocaine intended for supply and supplying cocaine. He pleaded not guilty to both charges. A trial date was set for May.

NANNY STOLE TOYS CTS A 38-year-old Filipino nanny told Magistrates' Court yesterday she stole toys from the Phoenix Centre before Christmas because she had no money.

But after being arrested, Police discovered that Nerisa L. Monserrat of Sound View Road, Sandys, had $105 in cash.

Monserrat pleaded guilty to stealing three toys. Prosecutor Sgt. Rex Osborne told the court that on December 10 at 3.15 p.m, Monserrat entered the store and was seen by a security guard putting toys into a plastic Phoenix bag.

"The guard watched as Monserrat left the store without paying for the items which were valued at $32.75,'' Sgt. Osborne said.

"She was escorted back into the store by the security guard and was detained until Police arrived.'' Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis fined Monserrat $100.

DOCK ADRIFT POL An unusual piece of lost property was found by Police on Sunday and they are anxious to find the owner. A wooden floating dock was seen drifting in Soncy Bay in Pembroke.

In view of the southeast wind at the time, Police believe the dock may have drifted from the Salt Kettle or Hinson's Island area.

The dock is in good condition, measures about 15 feet by four feet and is made of heavy timber with two long black floats on the underside.

Anyone missing such a dock is asked to call Marine Police.

VISITORS ROBBED CTS Thieves picked on two visiting couples on Monday night.

Two guests at Glencoe reported someone entered their room through an open sliding glass door and stole a Rolex watch and about $150 cash.

A similar incident was reported by a couple staying at White Sands Hotel in Paget. An expensive wrist watch was also stolen, along with about $30 in cash.

Entry was once again through an unlocked sliding glass door.

COUNTERFEIT CASH CRM Police are asking merchants to again be on the look-out for counterfeit money after several fake notes surfaced at various places around the Island recently.

The new batch of counterfeits have been in US$10 notes and all had the same serial number: D54725890A.

Anyone needing assistance in identifying suspected counterfeit notes can call the Police Crime Prevention Unit.

PUB SHUFFLE CRM A 25-year-old Paget man was arrested at a Front Street pub late on Tuesday night after he allegedly tried to steal from a customer.

Police were called when a scuffle broke out at the Cock and Feather after the customer claimed the offender had stolen a jacket and bag, Police said.

The man will be appearing in plea court in due course.

TREE PICK-UP GVT Residents are being asked to put unwanted Christmas trees out for the annual Government collection this Saturday. Trees should be placed outside by 7.30 a.m., said a Works and Engineering spokesman.
