The Harbourfront Restaurant has been named as the overall winner of the Mayer's Award for Food Hygiene and Safety.
Five establishments were given awards by Chief Medicinal Officer Dr. John Cann at Camden this week for their hygiene, equipment, training and safety.
While Harbourfront won the overall prize, Hickory Stick, Lindo's Market, in Devonshire, and Viking Foods were awarded in the categories of refreshment shop, grocery shop, and food importer respectively.
The Pickled Onion, meanwhile, was named the most improved.
The awards are given annually by the Environmental Health section of the Department of Health, which inspects and licenses all of the food establishments on the Island.
