The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index gained 24 points yesterday to close at 4,450.97.

On a light day of trading, Butterfield Bank was the only issue to advance as it rose 50 cents to close at $57.50 on volume of 217 shares.

Bermuda Commercial Bank Warrants fell 60 cents, to close at 50 cents on volume of 400 shares and Bermuda Aviation Services fell five cents to $6.25 on volume of 240.

Bermuda Commercial Bank was unchanged at $8.50 on volume of 1,300 shares and MediaHouse Preferred shares held at $3.75 on volume of 2,009.

The total value of the shares bought and sold on the BSX yesterday was $32,752.75 and the overall volume of shares was 4,166 shares.
