Tag rugby receives cash boost
week as DHL Worldwide Express announced plans to sponsor it.
The group, who also sponsor the World Rugby Classic, will pump about $27,500 into the scheme over the next four years.
DHL representative Alex Forbes said: "DHL Worldwide Express is very keen to get involved with rugby, not only through the World Rugby Classic, but with the youth.
"DHL sees this particular tag rugby programme as an ideal opportunity to support the development of the youth and to cultivate the development of rugby.'' Bermuda Rugby Football Union president John Williams, who recently returned from the 76-member International Rugby Football Board meeting in Rome, said he was "absolutely delighted'' with the news.
He said the money would be used for the purchase of equipment and general development of the programme.
