Cup clashes produce goals galore
Waynesha Bean led the new Strike Force with four goals as the Zebras ran riot over the resurrected Dandy Stars in one of three Konica Cup matches at the weekend.
Bean recorded the second hat-trick of the young season before half-time of a lopsided match, and added a fourth just after the restart to ensure a well deserved victory for the lady Zebras.
Hapless Stars were never able to contain Bean who constantly found a way through their defence. Her goals were crisp, clean and impressive, revealing a high level of skill.
Low shots were the order of the evening as Genevana Simmons, Stephanie Fleming and Kimmisha Perinchief all got into the act with well taken shots around and under the 'keeper.

But the game was fairly competitive in the first half with Rude Girls holding just a 2-1 advantage.
And BAA's lone goal was a spectacular effort from Tanya Semos who hit the post in the 12th minute before rifling home an 18-yard volley which stunned Rude Girls.
Furbert had put her side in front after just three minutes and restored that lead with a well-taken goal in the 34th.
The second half was a different story as Rude Girls went on the rampage.
Within 15 minutes of the restart, the lead had been stretched to four as Sakena Clarke and Catherine Clarke both hit the target. Sakena netted from the penalty spot and Catherine from 20 yards out on the right.
Catherine added another in the 74th minute, opening the floodgates for Tamisha Darrell and Furbert to run through in the 76th and 77th minutes respectively.
Furbert scored again in the third minute of injury time.
Players of the Game: Chevonne Furbert (Rude Girls), Tanya Semos (BAA) Referee: Joe Pimental Wolves Girls 7 Prospect 2 Waynette Thomas scored yet another hat-trick and Daynette Smith added two more as Wolves Girls won this clash comfortably.
Prospect's attack was spearheaded by Tirena Rollins in the first half and they actually took a 2-1 lead in the 26th minute when Rollins scored after a breakaway run.
Thomas had put the Wolf pack out front in the seventh minute after a strong cross from the right by Zayna Foggo found her unmarked in the box and she was able to slot the ball past the 'keeper.
But Lisa Clarke equalised for Prospect just one minute before Rollins put them ahead.
However, Prospect made the mistake of failing to mark Thomas and she brought her team back equal on the stroke of half-time. Jahnika Lightbourne then fired Wolves into the lead two minutes after the break and they never looked back.
Thomas completed her hat-trick in the 65th minute and Smith scored her goals in the 72nd and 91st minutes. Foggo got onto the scoresheet in the 89th minute.
Prospect were down to nine players by the end of the match due to injuries.
