BSX drops 32 points for week
The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange index dipped over 32 points last week after four separate stocks lost ground on a busy week of trading.
Bank of Bermuda yo-yoed during the week to finish down 25 cents overall at $44.25 and Bank of Butterfield lost 60 cents to close at $32.90. Bermuda Commercial Bank, on the other hand, gained 25 cents to finish at $6.75.
Harware store Masters Ltd. gained $1.50 after it reported an increase in profits of 12 percent last year and closed at $7.00.
Argus insurance lost $1.50 to end the week at $19.00 but BF&M gained 25 cents to $9.75.
KeyTech, the owners of Logic and BTC, lost $2 to close at $43 and Bermuda Hospital 8 percent bonds gained $2 to close at $106.
The index closed at 2,647.58, down 32.007 points or 1.21 percent on a volume of 46,840 shares worth $1,672,537.75. 7,500 bonds worth $7,950 were bought and sold.
