BSX inches up

The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index inched up 2.81 points, or 0.11 percent yesterday, unable to recover from Monday's losses, when the index lost 3.7 percent of its value. Yesterday, the index closed at 2,588.89, on volume of 5,900 shares.
The index was pushed higher by trading in KeyTech Ltd., whose shares gained $1.25 to close at $43. The Bank of Butterfield also traded, but remained at $33.25.
The Bank of Bermuda did not trade, after shares in the bank lost nearly seven percent of their value the day before.
In bonds trading, the Corporation of Hamilton's eight percent Bermuda dollar issue traded up 95 cents at $101. BTC's 7.75 percent issue rose $1.45 to 100.
