The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index gained 3.15 points or 0.13 percent yesterday to close at 2,386.39. A total of 11,606 shares worth $248,396 were traded.

The Only activity in the banking sector was 1,720 shares of the Bank of Butterfield although the stock remained unchanged at $33 at the end of the day.

The only two stocks to change were in the Insurance sector with Argus Insurance Co. Ltd. gaining $1 or 5 percent to close at $21 on volume of 5,486.

BF&M Ltd. lost $0.50 or 4.8 percent to close at $10 on volume of 3,100 shares.
