NCAA Patriot League teams, New York's Fordham University and Holy Cross from Massachusetts, will go head-to-head for the third Bermuda Bowl, at the National Stadium.

The game will kick-off at 2 p.m. on Saturday, but there will be a series of events taking place over the weekend as it is expected 400 fans, alumni and family will come to the Island.

The Bermuda Bowl Weekend events will include an Alumni Golf Tournament, at the Port Royal Golf Course, a tennis tournament, at the Southampton Princess, a five kilometre run and a team debate, also at the Princess.

Two teams of three, from each college, will take part discussing the motion `This house believes that academic institutions should give athletic scholarships'. The public is invited to the event which starts at 4.30 p.m. on Friday.

Members of the public will also be able to watch the two football teams practice -- Holy Cross is practising at Warwick Academy from 4.30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday and from 3.45 p.m. to 5.45 p.m. on Friday.

Fordham will practice at Warwick Secondary from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday and 9 a.m. to 10.15 a.m. on Friday.

Tickets for the game itself are $10, with children under the age of 12 free.

They are available from the Visitors Service Bureau in Hamilton and from Sandy's Rotary Club members.

The event is being sponsored by the Department of Tourism, Metro/Pepsi, HA and E Smith's, Robustelli Sports Marketing an Pirates Port.
