Lili Bermuda launches Alegria perfume
Lili Bermuda has announced the launch of Alegria, its newest women’s fragrance, and one that took more than three years to craft.“Alegria means ‘Joy’ in Portuguese and is my personal toast to Bermuda,” said Isabelle Ramsay-Brackstone, perfumer for The Bermuda Perfumery in St George’s.“Alegria celebrates the unique elements of Bermuda life: the myriad of cultural influences, sophisticated charm, and unparalleled natural splendor. I see Bermuda as the gem of the Atlantic, and wanted to create a fragrance that captures this image.”Mrs Ramsay-Brackstone described Alegria as “a warm and rich blend of Bermuda Cedar, Frangipani, Tuberose and Patchouli”.“It’s a grandiose fragrance, Mrs Ramsay-Brackstone said. ”Alegria is for the self assured woman who is not afraid of wearing a daring fragrance. Alegria delivers a modern and transparent aura, without being heavy - a natural for Bermuda’s sultry summer climate.”Mrs Ramsay-Brackstone said it took more three years to craft and refine the new fragrance.Alegria is available in perfume and eau de toilette for purchase at the Bermuda Perfumery, AS Coopers, Cecile, Gibbons Company, Brown and Co, The English Sports Shop and Bermuda Duty Free.Mrs. Ramsay-Brackstone said business at the Bermuda Perfumery was “excellent”, however, “This year in St. George’s, our retail operations at Stewart Hall has suffered a brutal decrease because of the lack of ferries between Dockyard and St. George’s. But we are optimistic, happy, very much ‘Alegria’ and looking forward to selling our perfumes around the Island this summer.”
