Two Southampton men were yesterday charged with breaking into a woman’s home wielding an imitation firearm.Obrien Gibbons and Sean Evans were charged with aggravated burglary after allegedly entering an East Avenue, Southampton home as trespassers, while carrying an imitation firearm on September 17.Mr Gibbons, of Horseshoe Road, was additionally charged with unlawfully assaulting Teklesha Simons the complainant in both matters on the same date.The assault allegedly took place around two hours before the burglary, and in a different location.Neither Mr Gibbons, 22, nor Mr Evans, 22, was required to enter a plea as the matter must be heard before the Supreme Court.After hearing bail applications, Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner remanded both defendants into custody.Both men are expected to appear in Magistrates’ Court again on October 4 for the matter to be mentioned.
