Brooks retires as Tucker's Point COO
Tucker's Point's chief operating officer (COO) Eric Brooks has retired after almost a decade of working with the exclusive resort located on the Castle Harbour waterfront.
During his time as COO, which began in 2004, Mr. Brooks oversaw the development and opening of the Tucker's Point Beach Club, the Golf Clubhouse, the Residence Clubs at Golf Villas and Harbour Court, and, ultimately, the new Tucker's Point Hotel & Spa.
Among his final acts was the appointment of a new executive vice-president and general manager for Tucker's Point Hotel & Spa, Brian Young. The veteran hotelier joined the property last month from Sea Island Resorts in Georgia, where he served as vice-president and operations and general manager.
"Eric has made significant contributions to Tucker's Point over the course of his tenure, particularly in the planning, creation and launch of our hotel, which opened this April as Bermuda's first new luxury resort in nearly 40 years," said Ed Trippe, president of Tucker's Point Club. "It is with significant regret that I accept his resignation."
Mr. Brooks' association with Tucker's Point Club dates back to 2000. At that time, he was serving as COO for Harden Capital, a resort development company that was retained to manage the development of Tucker's Point.
