Big bats subdue Warwick

Warwick 65 All the St. David's batsmen reached double figures, with Grason McCallan leading the way with 52 not out, as they crushed Warwick by 189 runs in Bermuda Youth Cricket League under-16 play.

Other main contributors to the St. David's total were O.J. Pitcher with 38, A.Burchall 28 not out, K.Jones 22 and Landro Minors 21. D.Stovell took two for 45 from his eight overs.

Stovell was also high man for Warwick with 28 but their reply lasted just 24 overs before Tyler Fox finished them off with the last three wickets in his one and only over which cost one run. Pitcher completed a good allround match by taking three for 12 while Jones had two for seven.

Devonshire 103 Hamilton 104-5 Clarence Trott claimed man of the match honours with three for 14 from eight overs for Hamilton Parish and then scoring 20 not out as they reached their winning target in just 19.2 overs.

Stephen Outerbridge, a regular in the Bailey's Bay first team, supported Trott with three for seven while opener Jim West took two for 11. Kanas Tuzo and Phillip Thomas were the best of the four Devonshire bowlers. Tuzo claimed two for 17 and Thomas two for 27.

Hamilton 97-7 Devonshire 89 Christino Smith and Rodney Trott both claimed three wickets as Hamilton Parish squeezed out an eight run win over Devonshire in a low scoring under-13 contest.

Hamilton Parish scored just 97 from their 20 overs with no player reaching double figures.

However, Devonshire found the target too steep for them as they were dismissed in 19.2 overs with Trott claiming three for 11, Smith three for 18 and Reid Trott two for eight. Jason Dill was high man for Devonshire with 17 while amory Boyce scored 14.
