Wyatt takes on senior role at LOM

Lines Overseas Management has promoted Sue Wyatt to the post of managing director of LOM Securities (Bermuda) Limited and director of LOM?s Bahamas, Cayman and London subsidiaries.

Ms Wyatt moves to the post after serving as LOM Securities general manager of sales and previously general manager for LOM Asset Management Limited. She was appointed to the LOM Executive Committee in October 2005. In her new role, she will oversee the operations of the LOM Group?s Bermuda brokerage subsidiary.

Her appointment comes in the midst of a number of changes at the Bermuda-based company. LOM and its former managing director Scott Lines have been involved in a lengthy legal battle with the US Securities and Exchange Commission over the enforcement of subpoenas for information related to alleged market manipulation of SHEP Technologies and Sedona Software Solutions.

Mr. Lines recently took over as president of LOM after his father, Donald, stepped down from the post. The elder Lines, who remains chairman of LOM, only took over as president last summer however when other son, Brian, stepped down as president in a bid to improve the company?s ability to resolve the matter with the SEC. The company also recently announced the resignation of the head of its Audit Committee, Susan D. Wilson. LOM chief financial officer and executive vice president Malcolm G. Moseley was appointed to the board of directors in December.

Ms Wyatt has spent more than two decades in the investment industry and has extensive experience in the investment and insurance industries with specialities in international tax and financial planning, mutual funds and pensions.

?We are very pleased that Sue will take on this additional responsibility and leadership position with the LOM Group,? said Donald Lines.

?Sue?s expertise in the investment industry and her knowledge of our company will be a great asset as we continue to execute on our reinvigorated business strategy for LOM.?

Ms Wyatt was a founding director on the board of the Financial Planning Association of Bermuda and previously served as a Key Account Director for AXA-Sun Life in the United Kingdom. She is a chartered Insurer and holds with a diploma in Advanced Financial Planning from the Society of Financial Advisors (SOFA).

?I am honoured and excited by this new opportunity,? said Ms Wyatt. ?One of my core beliefs is that our clients, shareholders, executive team and staff must all work towards the same goal of maximising returns and addressing individual needs. When we stay on our strategy, we will exceed expectations.?
