In a news release yesterday, Police said they were treating the death of 57-year-old Vincello Sinclair (Johnny Peppers) Richardson as "suspicious.'' An autopsy revealed head injuries which were likely inflicted shortly before he entered the water.

He was found floating at about 7.30 a.m., just off the Caribbean Lounge. It is understood the Criminal Investigation Department is now treating the case as a murder.

An investigative team led by Chief Inspector Carlton Adams has set up an incident room at the St. George's Police station. They want to hear from anyone who might have seen Richardson either Thursday night or Friday morning.

Anyone with information is asked to visit the St. George's Police station or telephone 297-1122.

A Police spokesman said: "The investigation is presently being centred around St. George's, in particular in tracing the movements of the deceased.

"We are not prepared to discuss suspects at this time.''
