publishing taped transcripts related to the Dexter Dillas drugs trial has been postponed for the third time by the Supreme Court.

The hearing, which was to take place yesterday, was re-scheduled for Monday because of an illness to Puisne Judge the Hon. Mr. Justice Ward.

The court has now postponed the hearing three times since Mr. Julian Hall MP was granted the injunction early last week.

Mr. Ward authorised the injunction on the first working day after The Royal Gazette newspaper published transcripts of a taped conversation with jailed drug dealer Dillas.

NEW GAS STATION FOR ST. DAVID'S PLN New gas station for St. David's St. David's will get a new gasoline station.

Mr. Peter Pitcher has won Planning permission to expand his St. David's Esso Marina to serve land-based vehicles.

The approval was granted by the Development Applications Board after a drawn out application that was opposed by Shell Oil.

In a DAB decision to be released today, the Board said Mr. Pitcher could go ahead with plans for a vehicular fuel station/pump island and canopy at his St. David's Road marina.

Mr. Pitcher last night said the new station would benefit the isolated community.

"We've got more than 1,500 people and the service is here for them,'' he said. "The service will fill their needs.'' Mr. Pitcher said he hoped to have the road service in operation some time in April.

INFLATION SHOWING SIGNS OF SLOWING FIN Inflation showing signs of slowing Inflation rose at a slower rate in 1992 than the previous six years in Bermuda.

And in the 12 months to January, this year, the rate of inflation was again showing signs of slowing at 2.8 percent compared to three percent in the previous 12 months.

The monthly change in January was 0.1 percent as the all-items index rose from 140.9 in December to 141.1.

In the main sectors, transport and vehicles recorded the most substantial change, up half of one percent, mainly in response to higher car and gas prices.

Prices in the food sector edged up 0.3 percent over December, with fruits such as cantaloupe melons (6.6 percent), apples (5.5 percent) and frozen vegetables (6.4 percent) all showing increases.

The fuel and power index rose by 0.3 percent and the price of cooking gas increased by just under one percent.

In the remaining sectors of the index, household appliances and services were up by 0.2 percent, tobacco and liquor, was up 0.1 percent, and recreation and health and personal care fell by 0.1 percent.

INVESTIGATION CONTINUING POL Investigation continuing The investigation into football star Jerome Belboda's fatal road crash last weekend is progressing well, Police said yesterday.

Several people, including the driver of a light-coloured car sought by Police, came forward with statements, Community and Media Relations Officer Sgt. John Dale said.

But Police want to hear from others, including anyone aware of Mr. Belboda's activities between midnight and 4 a.m. on Sunday, he said.

Insp. Stanley Hill also wants to hear from a woman who told a television reporter she saw Mr. Belboda's Suzuki car leave the road near Evans Bay in Southampton while a Police car was at the scene, he said.
