Woman hurt in cycle crashA Smith's Parish woman was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital yesterday after losing control of her auxiliary cycle on Crow Lane in Paget.Police were alerted to the accident around 3.45 a.m., and found the rider suffering with a laceration to her forehead. It's believed that the rider lost control of the cycle and collided with the sidewalk, and fell to the ground. The cycle was not damaged, and the injury is not believed to be life threatening.

A Smith's Parish woman was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital yesterday after losing control of her auxiliary cycle on Crow Lane in Paget.

Police were alerted to the accident around 3.45 a.m., and found the rider suffering with a laceration to her forehead. It's believed that the rider lost control of the cycle and collided with the sidewalk, and fell to the ground. The cycle was not damaged, and the injury is not believed to be life threatening.

Hit and run bike collision

A collision between two motorcycles on Wednesday left one rider injured but the second rider did not stop.

A 24-year-old Pembroke woman was travelling south on Southcote Road, in Paget, when she collided with another motorcycle heading in the opposite direction. The Pembroke woman suffered injuries to her arms and legs, and was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

The second rider is described as a dark skinned male of medium build, and is believed to have been riding a cream-coloured 'Sym' motorcycle.

Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to contact PC Bernadette Lawrence at 295-0011.
