Airport on Tuesday afternoon.

At around 3 p.m., a Yamaha motor cycle travelling west on Kindley Field Road apparently collided with an eastbound Toyota truck some 100 metres east of the BAS kitchens. The rider, a 27-year-old Devonshire man, lost control and skidded into the Airport perimeter fence.

He suffered a serious shoulder injury and was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital. Injuries to a pillion passenger were minor.

Police are asking anyone who may have seen the accident to contact P.c. David King at 297-1122.
