Hospital after he broke his leg in a cycle accident.

Police said the accident occurred around 8.40 a.m. Tuesday on South Road in Warwick when the teen attempted to overtake and collided with another cycle which was making a right turn.

The 21-year-old couple riding the other cycle sustained cuts and scrapes as a result of the crash.

He was reported to be in satisfactory condition in the children's ward of King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

The man was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital where it was determined he had suffered severe neck and internal injuries but was in stable condition in the intensive care ward.

In a separate incident, a 66-year-old Sandys woman suffered a head gash when she slipped on steps and fell into the ocean.

The woman was apparently following her dog down the steps leading to water when she slipped and fell backward, sliding into the sea.

She was taken to the hospital and was detained for observation in a general ward.

BIKE BANDITS TARGET VISITOS CRM Bike bandits target visitors A visiting couple have reported the theft of their knapsack from their moving moped.

The couple said they were heading west along South Road near Church Bay in Southampton when they noticed a motorcycle with two men come alongside them.

When they pulled into Church Bay they saw their knapsack -- which contained a wallet, camera and clothing -- had been removed from their rear cycle basket.

Meanwhile the motor cycle and its two passengers continued in a westerly direction.

JEWELLER SUFFERS BREAK-IN CRM Jeweller suffers break-in A Reid Street jewellery store was broken into early Tuesday morning and a number of watches were removed, Police reported yesterday.

The break-in at Crisson Jewellers is under investigation. The culprits damaged a glass panel and a display case before removing the time pieces.

BEACH THIEF STEALS TROUSERS CRM Beach thief steals trousers A trouser thief ruined a couple's visit to Church Bay in Southampton on Saturday evening.

The couple said they went for a swim at the beach at about 5.15 p.m. and on returning some ten minutes later the man's trousers -- which contained a wallet -- were missing.

The trousers were later discovered -- minus the wallet -- in a nearby car park.

Another couple said they saw a six-foot, two-inches tall, dread locked, bearded black male wearing a white T-shirt, black shorts and a white hat remove the trousers.
