pleading guilty to five traffic offences. Insp. Peter Duffy, prosecuting, told the court that on March 20, Brenton Harris, of Wellman Lane, permitted someone to use his unlicensed cycle, which also did not have third party insurance.

He also allowed a person who was disqualified from driving to use the cycle.

Insp. Duffy added that Harris himself was also being charged with riding the unlicensed cycle on Middle Road, Warwick, and riding with no third party insurance.

"At 8.30 p.m. on March 20 Police officers stopped a 16-year-old boy in Warwick who admitted that he was riding the bike while he was disqualified by the court. He also said that Harris had given him permission to ride the bike.

When Harris was seen later that day he admitted permitting the boy to ride his bike while it was unlicensed and uninsured.

Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis fined Harris $100 for permitting a disqualified person to ride his bike, $300 for allowing the same person to ride his bike with no third party insurance, having an unlicensed motor vehicle $100, having no third party insurance $100, giving permission to the boy to ride his bike $150 and 12 months disqualification.
