The February 19 auction will see equipment sold off as part of the wind-down of the Base, which is due to close in 1995.

Arranged by the Navy's Defence Reutilisation and Marketing Office (DRMO), the auction will feature items such as bowling alley equipment, baby cribs, computer equipment, furniture, vehicles, lumber, machine tools, cameras, chill boxes, a tank trailer, an ice machine, stainless steel sinks, light fixtures, pumps, door panels, tractors, a welder, cash registers, office equipment, communication equipment, an audio booth, scooters and much more.

The auction will be open to the general public.

Foreign nationals and Bermudians will be allowed to purchase items, but the DRMO will be required to report all sales to Customs.

Would-be customers can view items and register for the auction between 9 a.m.

and 3.30 p.m. from February 14-18 at the DRMO Building 730.

The auction will take place in the NAS Base theatre, beginning at 9 a.m.
