Canaries continued their undefeated run in the Women's A League on Saturday when they thrashed Orioles 5-0 at Nationals Sports Club.
Short-handed at the start of the match, Canaries soon went ahead when Stacey DeShields fired a spectacular shot into the left corner of the net.
Additional goals in the first half came from Emma Simmons (2) and Rhonda Rawlins. And Rawlins rounded out the scoring in the second half, shooting home as a result of some poor marking by the Orioles defence.
Cardinals came from behind to edge Swifts 2-1 after Megan Leitch had opened the scoring for Swifts.
Cardinals got a late equaliser through Michelle Clarke and with precious little time remaining it was Clarke who came through with the clincher.
Bluebirds beat Swallows 2-0, Ellen Charnley scoring after combining with Sarah Smith following a short corner penalty.
Smith provided the assist for the second goal also, taking a ball from Charnley and handing it to Deborah Sagurs who netted from close range.
In the B League, Canaries scored a 2-0 victory in a competitive game which saw Georgi Barbosa and Ali Cameron both score in the first half.
Orioles settled down in the second half, matching their opponents for much of the time but failing to score mainly through poor finishing. Both goalkeepers, Rhonda Rawlins and Tish Parfitt, were in fine form.
Swifts and Cardinals' B League match ended scoreless.
