Jermaine Orr, 16, of Mount Hill, Pembroke, spent two weeks in prison after a string of traffic offences. He appeared in court again on Thursday.

He was in custody after failing to turn up for a social inquiry report ordered by Senior Magistrate, the Wor. Will Francis.

The original offence occurred, on August 11, when he was spotted by Police riding his Yamaha 50 at high speed along Middle Road, Paget, on August 11.

Police said Orr had been racing with two other motorcyclists and causing other motorists to take evasive action.

He failed to stop for Police and when caught, refused to take an alco-analyser test.

The officers noticed that Orr smelled of alcohol but refused to give a breath test. They found that he had no insurance, no licence, and his bike had an oversized engine. He was also driving underage for the size of bike.

Magistrate the Wor. John Judge sentenced Orr to two years probation for the offences.

Mr. Judge said: "I will say no more, other than you now know if you do not get your life together and turn yourself around you know exactly what sort of place you will spend the rest of your life.''
