AdVantage Ltd., the Reid Street advertising, design and corporate communication firm has been recognised with a Creativity Award by an international industry publication. AdVantage won the award for their BTC Mobility Gombey Prepaid Card campaign and promotional materials produced for the 2002 Bermuda Festival. The agency also won a separate award last winter for annual reports design and production. Sheila Semos, President of AdVantage Ltd said she was thrilled with the awards, adding: “It is always wonderful when you work as a team to produce creative work that is incredibly well received.”

Paul B. Ingrey, chairman and ECO of Arch Reinsurance Ltd is being honoured by a business school as their “2002 Insurance Leader of the Year.” The School of Risk Management Insurance and Actuarial Science (SRM) of the Peter J. Tobin College of Business at St. John's University chose Mr. Ingrey for his “distinguished 38-year career in the field of insurance and reinsurance, combined with his considerable accomplishments this past year in forming a new reinsurance company, Arch Reinsurance Ltd...”

The Bermuda Branch of the Institute of Directors (IoD) is joining KPMG to host a series of breakfast seminars on topical business subjects. The seminars, which are available to KPMG clients and IoD Bermuda Branch members, begin on November 13 with KPMG partner Richard Lightowler and Allan Goldstein, a director in KPMG New York's Internal Audit practice speaking on “Corporate Governance: The New Strategic Imperative.”
Princess Cruises announced that their Tour Guide of the season award goes to Rick Wynn. Graham Davis, Manager of Shore Operations said that Mr Wynn was selected for his “positive, friendly approach; knowledgeable and informative presentation,” and called him an “excellent emissary” for Bermuda.

Arch Insurance Group, a division of Arch Capital Group Ltd., has announced that Lesley Andrea Heath Harding has been named to the position of Managing Director for the Property, Marine and Technical Risks Division, effective September 30, 2002.
Ms Harding will serve as senior executive of the UK subsidiary which will act as Arch's representative office in London. Ms Harding, age 36, has over 14 years of experience in the marine insurance and underwriting industries.
Prior to joining Arch, Ms Harding was Vice President and Senior Property Underwriter of Swiss Re New Markets in Zurich, Switzerland. Upon the introduction of the Deal Team concept, Ms Harding was nominated Deal Team Leader for Energy.
As a member of management and property underwriter for the Energy Team, she also managed a traditional risk transfer portfolio of predominantly Fortune 2000 E&P companies.
Prior to her work at Swiss Re, Ms Harding was Assistant Manager and Underwriter at Heddington Insurance Limited, the captive insurer of Texaco Inc. in Bermuda.
Lesley was responsible for underwriting Texaco's domestic Upstream and Midstream property and liability exposures. Ms. Harding also previously served as Risk Manager and sat on various industry committees and advisory groups on behalf of Texaco Risk Management.
