C Travel launches online booking engine
Bermuda?s largest travel agency has taken a major step onto the Internet with the launch of its own online travel booking engine which aims to save money for travellers by highlighting less expensive flights, better fare routings, pre-negotiated hotel rates, and access to highly discounted web fares.
C Holdings Ltd., parent company of C Travel, said yesterday that Quickertix.com will compete with Expedia, Orbitz and Travelocity by offering lower fares through easily used web interfaces. Its advantage is in the fact that local travel agents are actively involved in a support role throughout the entire reservation process.
?Quickertix.com will appeal to the sophisticated, web-savvy traveller mainly because of the competitive pricing available,? said Carl Paiva, CEO of C Holdings Ltd. The new website is an extension of Quickertix, a phone-based travel reservation service which utilises C Travel?s New York-based call centre.
