Fairmont Hotels & Resorts launched wireless computer networks in all of its hotels last week, allowing guests to use the Internet in public areas and their rooms without plugging in their laptops.
The hotel chain had already offered wired Internet access in the guest rooms and conference spaces of its 38 hotels, two of which are in Bermuda. The wireless service costs guests $9.95 a day, but is free to gold and platinum members of Fairmont's loyalty scheme.
