State Junior Championship by one stroke yesterday.
Zelkin, who failed by a shot to have a chance at qualifying for the prestigious US Junior Boys Championship, fired a three-under-par 68 at the Fox Bend Golf Club in Oswego.
Zelkin beat out a field of 101 players, including fellow Bermudians Jimmy Legere and Adam Tufts, who struggled on the front nine and finished in the middle of the field on 80 and 81 respectively.
The three youngsters return to Bermuda today with manager Doug Tufts.
