Update: Men can't add to golden weekend for Bermuda cyclists
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 24: Bermuda Olympian Flora Duffy has bagged two golds at the Elite Caribbean Cycling Championships in Guadeloupe.
Duffy finished first in the Time Trials on Saturday, and repeated the feat in today's road race. Team-mate Nicole Mitchell backed her up by taking bronze in both races.
UPDATE: The men's efforts to add to Bermuda's tally were beset by problems from the start in this afternoon's road race.
Adam Harbutt suffered a race-ending mechanical problem on the second lap, Shannon Lawrence crashed on the next lap, and Darren Glasford got a flat in the fourth lap.
Only Geri Mewett managed to stick with the peloton for the entire race, and he crossed the line in the top 20 after a breakaway by the Guadeloupe riders allowed the host nation to claim the top three places.
