A Police spokesperson said that the thieves entered the house through an insecure sliding door sometime between Tuesday and Wednesday night.

Police also reported a prowler near a home on Garthowen Road in Devonshire. A spokesperson said officers attended the residence at around 7.15 p.m.

Wednesday after receiving a complaint.

"A woman reported hearing noises outside her house and when turning on the outdoor light she saw a man walking through a gate and disappear,'' the spokesperson said. "The culprit was described as dark skinned, wearing a green jacket and white crash helmet.''
