The Agricultural Exhibition kicks off its 61st season today.

Open to the public between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. today, tomorrow, and Saturday, the show will be held at the Botanical Gardens in Paget.

Entry prices are $5 for adults, $2 for children under 16, and free for children under five.

This year's entertainment ring will feature the main event Elastic Gymnastic -- a trampolinist and bungie jumping group from Canada -- as well as performances by the Bermuda Boot Scooters along with local bands Xtacy, The Right Stuff, Last Rights and Ultimate Duo.

Solo artists LeYoni Junos and Gita Blakeney, the Warwick Academy Pre-School Choir, the King Kids puppet show, The Athletic Club's aerobics instructors and ballroom dancers will also take centre stage throughout the day.

Once again the Agricultural Exhibition will showcase a variety of entries from the public as well as farm animals and horse competitions for riders of all ages.

Woodcraft and advanced flower arrangements will be displayed in the Horticultural Hall.

Educational displays, terrariums and aquariums will be featured in the Educational Building.

Cut flowers, model gardens, flower arrangements and potted plants will be set up in the J.J. Outerbridge Building.

Vegetables and fruits will be on display in the Commercial Slat House.

Poultry, rabbits, and pigeons will be kept in the Jack King Building with food products, kites and roses on display in the Arrowroot Factory.

Various categories of horse jumping, riding, pleasure driving and showmanship contests will be held between 8.30 a.m. and 5.30 p.m. in the Main Show Ring each day.

There will also be a children's petting zoo and a variety of food stalls.
