The court adjourned to allow the defence to sort out certain "procedural matters'', and will sit again tomorrow.

Burgess, 20, of Westwood Lane, Pembroke, has denied three drug offences. She has pleaded not guilty to possessing heroin with intent to supply, supplying heroin and handling heroin with intent to supply.

Archie Warner and Elizabeth Christopher represent Burgess while Wilhelm Bourne represents the Crown.

DRUNK DRIVER BANNED FOR THREE YEARS CTS Drunk driver banned for three years A Hamilton Parish man was taken off the road for three years in Magistrates' Court yesterday after pleading guilty to driving with almost three times the legal limit of alcohol.

Prosecutor Sgt. Phil Taylor said Police came upon a two-car accident on Blue Hole Hill, Hamilton Parish on July 18.

The officers noticed one of the drivers, Dennis Outerbridge, 66, of Peat Lane, Hamilton Parish, appeared to be impaired.

He was arrested for suspicion of driving while impaired and an alco-analyser which revealed he had 216 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood -- 136 milligrams above the legal limit.

Senior Magistrate Will Francis fined Outerbridge -- who had a 1995 conviction for impaired driving -- $600 and banned him from driving all motor vehicles for three years.

Nigel J. Wood, 26, of Marl Lane, was stopped when Police found him driving the wrong way up Stowe Hill in Paget.

When asked if he had been drinking, Wood said: "I had a few.'' And when he was informed he was being arrested for suspicion of driving while impaired, he replied: "I'm f**ked''.

An alco-analyser test showed Wood had at least 233 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood -- almost three times the legal limit.
