Cruise ships collide
A story in Friday's newspaper on a collision between the Norwegian Crown and the Song of America failed to say that Song of America was berthed at the time that Norwegian Crown 's bow hit her stern railings.
Two cruise ship captains have been told to file reports for Bermuda's marine officials after their ships collided in Hamilton Harbour.
Stern railings were smashed in on the Song of America when it was rammed by the Norwegian Crown yesterday.
Queen's Harbour Master Mike Dolding said the cruise crash came at 2.20 p.m., just as the Norwegian Crown was setting off on her weekly return voyage to New York.
Nobody was injured in the collision and the Norwegian Crown was able to depart.
Ship collision probe Song of America engineers were understood to be making repairs to the railings last night, while insurers were being contacted to check for damage cover.
Tug pilots' reports are expected to land on Mr. Dolding's desk today.
But he said he would not know the full story until both captains had handed him their reports, probably when their ships return to the Island next week.
