The 16-year-old girl was travelling aboard the Dreamward when Customs officers, during a routine search this week, found what was believed to have been LSD.

She was taken to the St. George's Police Station and subsequently bailed.

PROWLER AT THE CORAL BEACH CLUB TOU Prowler at the Coral Beach Club Police caught a prowler at the Coral Beach guest property in the act.

Spokesperson Evelyn James Barnett said the incident occurred just after midnight on Monday.

The officers, who were on patrol outside of the Paget property, approached the man as he peered through the window of a guest apartment.

The man ran toward the beach area, but was arrested and taken to the Hamilton Police Station.

Inquiries into the incident were continuing.

WAITER PUTS OUT FIRE IN PUB'S TOILET FIR Waiter puts out fire in pub's toilet A "quick-thinking'' waiter thwarted an arson attempt at a Front Street pub this week.

Police said the incident took place on Monday afternoon at the Flanagan's Irish Pub & Restaurant after an unidentified suspect started a fire in the men's lavatory.

Police and firefighters attended the scene where it was believed the offender set a roll of toilet paper ablaze in one of the stalls.

The fire alarm was activated, but the waiter swiftly doused the flames with a fire extinguisher.

Investigations into the incident were underway.

TWO PEMBROKE BOYS FOUND `DRUNK' CRM Two Pembroke boys found `drunk' Police arrested two "heavily intoxicated'' Pembroke youths for drunken behaviour.

The youths, aged 15 and 16, were first seen by a Marriott Castle Harbour Hotel staff member just after midnight on Tuesday when they attempted to pry off a metal strip used to secure a vending machine in the hotel's basement.

Police spokesperson Evelyn James Barnett said the boys ran off, but were found around 2.30 a.m. in a "drunken stupor'' sleeping in the road with their motorbikes -- which were believed to have been stolen -- nearby.

Police were called and upon arriving they awoke and arrested the boys.

They were detained at the St. George's Police Station.

BREAK-IN AT AUTOMOBILE SHOWROOM CRM Break-in at automobile showroom Brazen thieves broke into an automobile showroom at East Broadway, Pembroke and stole several items, including a motorcycle.

Police said the culprit(s) forced entry into the Suzuki Centre sometime during the weekend and a red Honda Scoopy 100cc motorcycle, a car CD player and a black Mitsubishi cellular telephone.

Inquiries into the incident were continuing.

VISITOR ROBBED WHILE SLEEPING CRM Visitor robbed while sleeping A visitor had his money stolen while he slept in his Warwick guest apartment during the weekend.

The man told Police he retired to his Clairfront Guest House at Warwickshire Road around 10.30 p.m. on Sunday.

He awoke around 8 a.m. the next day to discover his wallet had been removed from his pants pocket.

He later found the wallet on a table, but an undisclosed quantity of US cash was missing.

Police inquiries were continuing.

JILTED BOYFRIEND `STABS' WOMAN CRM Jilted boyfriend `stabs' woman A Sandys Parish woman was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital after being stabbed by a jilted boyfriend.

Police spokesperson Evelyn James Barnett said Police were called to a Scott's Hill Road home around 6.30 p.m. on Sunday after receiving a report that a woman was stabbed.

A 25-year-old man allegedly lunged at the woman's neck while she was in the process of ending the relationship.

The woman instinctively brought her left hand up to block the attack and suffered a deep laceration to her hand, just below her thumb.

Mrs. James Barnett said the woman managed to escape and contacted Police from a neighbour's house.

She was taken to hospital where she received nine stitches to close the wound.

Police investigations are continuing.

SOCIAL REPORT ORDERED FOR TEENAGER CTS Social report ordered for teenager Senior Magistrate Will Francis ordered a social inquiry report for a 16-year-old boy who pleaded guilty to stealing a rental bike.

Warwick resident Angelo Trott was stopped on Victoria Street in Hamilton by Police officers on August 7.

He was riding a rental bike worth more than $2,000 which belonged to Wheels Limited, and had been taken from the parking lot at Angel's Grotto guest house.

Trott pleaded guilty to stealing the bike, and was released on $1,000 bail with a like surety.

He appears again before Mr. Francis on October 13.

MAN HIT BY BUS IN STABLE CONDITION AC TRA Man hit by bus in stable condition The condition of a 54-year-old man, who was hit by a Government bus last month, has been upgraded.

Street sweeper Joseph Fray was struck by a Public Transportation Board bus shortly after noon on July 10 at the junction of Cedar Avenue and Church Street.

A couple of days after the accident PTB assistant director Dan Simmons told The Royal Gazette that Mr. Fray made contact with the side of the bus and its rear wheel.

He claimed there was no way for the bus driver to know what was about to happen.

He also said PTB had an accident prevention committee that would look into incident in great detail.

But he declined to comment on what could happen to the driver if he was found to be at fault.

This week, however, neither PTB officials nor lawyer for Mr. Fray's family, Justin Williams, could not be reached for comment.

But a spokeswoman at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital said Mr. Fray had been moved from the Intensive Care Unit, where he had been in critical condition, to a general ward where he was listed in stable condition.
