The man pleaded guilty to unlawfully assaulting the woman on November 17.

He also admitted sexually assaulting her that same day, taking her motorcycle and driving it away without authority or consent. However, the man denied riding the cycle without third party insurance.

Sgt. Rex Osborne prosecuting, said the complainant suffered bruises to her chest, back, neck, ears and cuts to her left finger during the assault at her Pembroke home.

The defendant also grabbed the woman's pants and grasped her vagina, said Sgt.

Police went to his home and found the complainant's motorcycle parked in the yard.

Magistrate the Wor. Mrs. Cheryl Ann Mapp ordered a social inquiry report and released the man on $800 bail with one surety and ordered him to have no contact with the victim. He will be sentenced on April 11.

GANG OF YOUTHS STEAL TEEN'S CYCLE CRM Gang of youths steal teen's cycle A group of bold youths allegedly pushed a 17-year-old off his cycle and stole it.

Police said the incident, which occurred in Hamilton at around 6.45 p.m. on Thursday, was under investigation.

The victim said he was sitting on his auxiliary cycle at the junction of Queen and Reid Streets.

Police later arrested a 14-year-old and the cycle was recovered.

Inquiries to establish the identities of the other offenders were continuing.

Stanley Vincent Durham, 49, of Sousa Estates, pleaded guilty, in Magistrates' Court yesterday, to driving while impaired.

Durham was riding his auxiliary cycle west on Dundonald Street around 5 p.m.

on January 25 when he slammed into the rear of a vehicle, prosecuting Sgt. Rex Osborne said.

A test of the alcohol level in Durham's blood showed that he had 200 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood, more than twice the legal limit.

"Two hundred milligrams is about as high as the machine can read,'' Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis noted.

"From a Guinness stout?'' Durham asked in dismay. "I only had five of them.''
